national comp - las vegas - 2024

october 25, 2024

There are multiple national conventions and trade shows focused upon workers' compensation each year. At many of those gatherings, some with an many as 6,000 attendees, are attended by representatives of the national representatives of KidsChance.org. One of our Montana KCMT board members, Michael Marsh, was a guest speaker and attendee at the recent National Comp convention in Las Vegas October 14 - 17, 2024.

Michael was fortunate to meet with the national representatives and one of the remarkable students that has benefitted from the financial support she has received from her state's Kids' Chance organization. Both nationally and in the state of Montana it is recognized that the scholarships provided to students impacted by having a parent seriously injured or killed at work can be life changing. Positively impacting the lives of these children in need is why Kids' Chance exists.

The challenge of the national conventions: The People and the noise.  Not only was National Comp taking place, there was another convention in the same facility InsureTech. Total, there were about 7,000 people roaming the halls in the Las Vegas hotel. Despite the noise and congestion, the Kid's Chance pin on Michael's blazer was recognized and pointed out by those people in the walkways many, many times. We at KCMT are proud to report that the mission of Kids' Chance is more recognized and respected than ever before.

Kids' Chance Awareness Week is coming up soon. KCMT is excited that Governor Greg Gianforte will be issuing another letter of support to help Kids' Chance of Montana to raise money for these kids in need.

Kids' Chance of Montana was formed and is here to provide educational support to the children of those workers unfortunately severely injured or killed in workplace incidents. For these children, we urge you to consider donating to the KCMT scholarship fund. All monies donated on line and by check are directed back to our students.

Help Us Help More Kids. Together we can help them help themselves lift up to unprecedented levels.
